SATHYA SRIDHARAN

SATHYA  is an actor, poet, improvisor and prophet from St. Louis, MO, currently living in Boston, MA. As an actor, Sathya studied at Washington University, the Globe Theatre in London for a semester, and has worked on many classical Shakespearian texts, from Hamlet to Macbeth to Romeo and Juliet, so on and so forth. He believes in the immediacy of theatre, the communal experience that it provides, and the ways in which we are transformed each time. As a poet, Sathya admires the work of Jack Gilbert, Billy Collins, James Wright, Frank O'Hara, Zbigniew Herbert. He hopes to produce a full length chap book by the summer of 2011. He co-authored BROWNSTAR's stage debut at the 2010New York International Fringe Theatre Festival - FASTER THAN THE SPEED OF WHITE.

In the fall of 2011, Sathya will attend the Tisch Graduate Program for Acting at New York University. He is beyond excited.
